- No Conflicts of Interest - What We Are Not!
Our sole fiduciary duty is to our client, the seller, and our only goal is to get our client the best deal - period! Selling dental practices is all we do. This is where we differ significantly from many of our competitors who are either:
- Dual Representation Brokerage Firms. Requiring commissions from both the seller and the buyer while representing both sides. That would be like a lawyer prosecuting and defending a client in the same case. A major conflict of interest.
- Equipment & Supply Companies with in-house brokerage firms. Their "bread and butter" is the sale of dental equipment and supplies. Their underlying goal is to replace the seller with a buyer that will continue to purchase all supplies and equipment from them, where they make their annual profits, for the next 20-30 years, rather than finding the seller the best buyer or the best deal. The seller may not even be introduced to buyers purchasing from other competitors. A major conflict of interest.
- Accounting Firms with in-house brokering. This is a recent trend, and is possibly the biggest conflict of interest of all. How can an accountant truly look out for the best interest of its client, the seller, when evaluating an offer, if they have a risk of losing a potentially significant commission?

Our Commitment
- Timely and expedient communication. Your questions and inquiries are very important to us, and a timely response is a must. We pride ourselves in getting back to you within 24 hours. You will always have access to our team members at our corporate office who will be happy to assist, even when your local Consultant isn’t available.
- Personalized & confidential consultation. We realize that your practice is one of your most valuable assets, and we act accordingly. You may have questions about the process, timeline, evaluation, current market trends, and overall transition strategy. Our Consultants will arrange a face-to-face or virtual meeting with you, at your convenience when your office is closed and no staff or patients are present. During this meeting, our consultants will tour your office, interview you to determine your preferred transitional goals, as well as answer any other questions you may have. Furthermore, we can assure you that confidentiality is key during the entire process to ensure your staff and patient retention.
- Ongoing updates to keep you informed. During the listing process, your Choice Consultant will update you frequently as to the number of potential buyers inquiring about your opportunity, the positive or negative feedback those potential candidates are relaying about the practice, and comparable sales within your geographical area. This type of immediate feedback is invaluable in advising you during this transitional phase, and allows for more effective communication and collaboration during the sale process.
- Guided Practice Showings. We strongly believe a selling dentist shouldn’t show their own practice to potential buyers without expert guidance. Our Consultants will make every reasonable attempt to be present for practice showings, when feasible, or will consult with you and the buyers in advance as to what actions to take at such meetings. Choice Consultants have worked with thousands of buyers and have completed over 1,000 transitions. They know what buyers find important, what to focus on, and how to help them better understand the best qualities of your practice.
- We Are On Your Side. At Choice, our Consultants only represent one party, YOU, unlike some other brokers who represent both the buyer and seller, or are the CPA for the seller, both of which we believe are a HUGE conflict of interest. We will work with the buyers and their advisors to ensure a smooth and successful transition, but our sole fiduciary responsibility is to our sellers. Additionally, some dental brokers are also the dental equipment company for your practice. At Choice, we market to ALL buyers despite any affinity to what equipment company they prefer, creating a larger market for your practice.
